Coating
The functionalization of a metal surface can be achieved by giving the surface layer particular properties that differ from those of the underlying material. This result can be achieved through a number of processes: the use of thermal deposition techniques and low-pressure deposits offers a complete range of combinations of material and coating thickness.
For example, coating by means of thermal processes (Plasma Spray, HVOF, Flame Spray, Wire Arc Spray, Cold Spray, Laser Cladding, Arc Cladding, etc.) is suitable for coating metallic and ceramic materials with thicknesses from 1 mm to 100um, while low-pressure coating (PVD, CVD, Sputtering and developments thereof) uses a combination of precursors in the vapor phase that interact with different energy sources, making it possible to achieve deposits ranging from 50 um - 10 nm in thickness.
Thanks to the company's acquired experience regarding the entire range of coating processes, Irish Oxygen supplies products, services and technologies that meet the varying needs of customers, including gaseous precursors, distribution plants, materials and consumables, technological consultancy and process optimization.
