Accelerated reactor cooldown

During the maintenance of refining plant, reactor cooldown can take up most of the time available: accelerated and controlled cooldown using liquid nitrogen can significantly reduce plant downtime, thus benefiting production.

For example, when replacing the catalyst in a hydrocracking reactor, the time needed for cooling the reactor down to temperatures that will allow personnel to enter safely, can be reduced from several days to a few hours: using the solution supplied by SOL, cooldown can be safely made far quicker by pumping cold nitrogen into the reactor and constantly monitoring the temperatures at various points in the plant.

Thanks to its experience in the sector, SOL provides all the equipment and personnel required to carry out cooldown operations with maximum efficiency and in conditions of complete safety: thanks to continuous research into effective and efficient technologies, and to cooperation with highly-qualified operators, SOL can provide its customers with customised solutions and supply the most advanced cooldown applications available.
